Absolutely. Synastry shows that supposedly 'incompatible' Sun signs often have deep planetary harmonies that more than compensate. Overall compatibility never comes down to two signs alone: the full picture of planetary connections is what matters.
Which aspects are most important to look at?
The Sun-Moon connection (one nurtures the other's identity), Venus-Mars aspects (romantic and physical attraction), and Moon-Moon aspects (emotional understanding) are generally the most significant. Saturn aspects indicate a serious and lasting relationship, sometimes requiring conscious effort.
Does synastry predict whether a relationship will last?
No, it gives tendencies. A difficult synastry with conscious work can lead to a stronger relationship than an easy synastry where partners don't invest. Astrology is a tool for understanding, not a verdict.
